Please enjoy this message from MSM Dean of Jazz Arts Ingrid Jensen in celebration of International Woman's Day. "Every March, Women’s History Month shines a bold beam of light on the achievements of the often-lesser-known artists who represent as women. In the field of Black American Music (Jazz), the catalogue of under-acknowledged female artistry runs deep and continues to evolve as artists from days past and those currently trending get their due," she writes.
The Manhattan School of Music commencement ceremony is taking place on May 16 in The Riverside Church at 1 PM, fewer than 100 days away. Graduating MSM students are looking forward to making the transition to an exciting new time in their lives — learn about their plans, emotions, and memories!
The Eisenberg-Fried Concerto Competition is held each February at MSM. The winners of the 2024 competition are drawn from the areas of strings, woodwinds, brass, piano, percussion, and voice. Each winner will perform with one of MSM's ensembles in the upcoming academic year.
